Yadlamalka Pastoral has grown into one of South Australia's significant family-owned pastoral enterprises through strategic investment in quality grazing country, infrastructure and sustainable livestock production.
Under the ownership of Andrew and Tom Doman, the business has expanded to include Yadlamalka Station, Beltana Station, Wilkatana Station and Lake Torrens Station, creating a diverse pastoral portfolio extending across the Flinders Ranges and Far North regions.
Together these properties represent more than 170 years of South Australian pastoral heritage.

Yadlamalka Pastoral is an historic and active pastoral operation in the Far North region of South Australia, centred around Yadlamalka Station in the locality of Yadlamalka (approx. 60 km north of Port Augusta, at the southern tip of Lake Torrens). It operates in the arid plains between the Flinders Ranges and Lake Torrens, an area known for its challenging semi-arid environment, gibber plains, salt flats, and pastoral leases.
Owned and operated by the Andrew and Tom Doman through Yadlamalka Pastoral Company/Yadlamalka Operating Pty Ltd. Andrew Doman, a South Australian entrepreneur (often based in London/UK), is a key figure. The family has deep roots in the area, with the station being in their hands for many years.
The company operates across multiple properties in the Flinders Ranges region, including Yadlamalka Station and the recently acquired adjoining Wilkatana Station (adding significantly to their holdings; combined operations often referenced as 140,000+ ha). They run a mixed livestock enterprise focused on premium cattle, sheep, and goats.
The station traces back to the mid-19th century (established around 1851 as a sheep run under early pastoral leases). It has a long history of wool production, adapting through droughts, economic challenges, and shifts to mixed grazing. Historical images show homesteads, horse teams, and station life from the 1920s–1940s.
Emphasis on sustainable stock management, rotational grazing, biodiversity, and land health in the arid zone to prevent overgrazing. They regularly recruit for roles like stockmen, senior station hands, and overseers, often highlighting long-term opportunities in the stunning Flinders Ranges.
